We were recently planning a tour to Madrid to get a break and searching for hotels in Madrid…Hoteles Madrid rather..(Hotels known as Hoteles in their local language).
What was very inspiring to see that all the hotels, whether big or small had the latest technical features unlike here in India. The technology features included everything from WiFi (free) to interactive equipment for films, music, video games and newspapers. In addition to those facilities, the rooms are equipped with interactive TFT screens and safety box for laptop computers. Intelligent and ecological consumption through solar energy panels also are installed saving on quite a bit of energy used up by hotel lighting and other equipment. One of the spec of the hotel we will be staying at – 5 High Tech Rooms: including a PC, trouser press, home trainer, a hydro-massage shower and a sauna. These rooms are very spacious and offer a marvelous view over Gran Vía (on request). Looks like we can’t be taking a break with all this technology all around us 
Features might seem normal to those staying in highly developed areas like New York n etc but here in India such features are only available in 5 star and 7 star hotels which are less in number too. It would be great to see what comes after all this high technology. Hotels will soon be called iHotels (We believe that there are some of them already being built). Well, lets hope for the best.
