Ratan Tata finally unveiled the Rs. 1 Lakh Dream car awaited by many Indians. It is named Nano and looks splendid

According to insiders, this car was announced by Ratan Tata even before he talked to his officials. What prompted him to do so was the sight of a family drenched in rain water on a scooter.

The mileage is said to be 20 kilometers per litre (15 miles per gallon). The car can seat 4 – 5 people. It is 9% smaller than the Maruti 800 externally and 21% larger internally which seems too good to be true. With the futuristic design concept and low attractive price it is sure to become a range with the lower middle class people and youngsters. No comments on the traffic problems caused later though.

Ratan Tata said that the car will be available for buying in September 2008. The car has passed all the safety and pollution tests. The exact specifications will be mentioned after the official announcement is made.   So welcome “The People’s Car”!
