Sourav Ganguly, fondly known as ‘Dada’, finally got his double century on Day 2 of the 3rd test match against Pakistan at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore. His previous highest was 173 against Sri Lanka in the Wankhede Stadium at Mumbai a decade ago. He scored his double hundred on the 500th minute of his play and the innings played was him was very responsible after the top order debacle (from 61/4 to 605/7). He also holds the record for the highest score by an Indian at the Chinnaswamy stadium (239 Runs) and has surpassed Vinod Kambli’s record of the highest runs score by a left hander in Test Matches (227 Runs).

Another maiden century was in form of Irfan Pathan’s quick 100 who was left out of the previous two test matches and has made a strong comeback. His previous highest was 93 and always showed the potential of making higher scores. He put a 178-run partnership run with Dada helping India cross the 600 mark.
Yuvraj Singh too contributed with a wonderful 169 and made a 300 run partnership with Ganguly to stable the Indian Innings. Yuvraj made a strong comeback after being left out of the team due to experienced players in the middle order.
Lets hope the better team wins!
